A Story for Cleaning a Room

These tips are gonna be put differently, like a story! I hope you enjoy!

A Story for Cleaning a Room:

"Honey, clean your room!" Mom yelled.

"But, Mo-om!! My room reflects my personality, if you make me clean it, your taking away what I have and need!" I begged; I always use a different excuse.

"No 'But Moms'! Daniel, you are cleaning your room and you aren't getting out of it with your ugly excuses!" Mom yelled, angry.

I trudged up the stairs slowly and reached my room. The walls were dark blue and gray and the bed was supposed to be covered with a camo bed spread and cover. I had a huge closet which I never used; clothes piled the floors though. I decided to start with the closet and clothes pile. I grabbed my red school sweatshirt and sniffed it. "Uggghhh!" I said grabbing my neck. "It's disgustingly stinky!" My younger sister, Melody, walked into my closet in a pair of long boots and a mask and gloves, "Mom said I have to help you." I put on a pair of 'protective clothes' and brought in the clothes bin. We made it fun by playing Throw-the-Clothes-in-the-Bin. When we finally saw the floor, I dragged the gigantic smelly bin and dumped it in the laundry. I turned the knobs and it was off! My clothes were finally off the floor and into the washer! Now, I had to do the rest of the room. I sighed; a big heavy long sigh. I was so tired and bored, so was Melody. We plopped on the newly vacuumed closet, we were exhausted! We decided to take a break.

We rode around the neighborhood outside and we bought some ice cream! We rode our bikes up into the driveway and put our bikes away and went into the house. "How's the room comin'?" Mom says.

"Fine," Melody and I respond casually.

"I expect you two to finish it before we have to go to Aunt Betty and Uncle Dave's house for dinner."

I sighed and we rushed to my room with a large white trash bag. We picked up all the trash. When we were done with that the room suddenly looked a tint shinier. So we kept on going! Then I brought up a gigantic box to put all my stuff in. We then decorated to box so it would look good in my room. Mom knocked on the door and brought us some snacks.

"Nice job, guys! You still have some work to do though." Mom exclaimed. " I think I have something that can help." She went downstairs.

I munched on some cookies and sipped the lemonade. What was taking Mom SO long. Melody sighed and glanced at me. I sighed, too.

We finally heard footsteps! Mom brought in a BUNCH of storage! Bookcases, baskets, decorations for my room and more! I was so excited I hugged my mom, "Thanks!"
We unpacked all the things and placed the rest of the things on the floor and on my bed into the baskets and bookcases.

Melody stroked my bed. "Wow! That was fast!"

"Ya, honey! Great job!" My mom applauded.

I sighed, again. And hugged my mom. I went over to Melody and gave her my super lucky clover necklace and put it around her neck, "Thanks for helping!" Melody giggled and hugged me; a short one though.

" Can't wait to mess up my room now!" Melody giggled.

It's been a 3 days now and my room hasn't messed up yet. I gazed at it admiring ever inch. I took a picture and tacked it to my cork board, "If I ever forget..."
